(Traineeship) International Business Development
As International Business Development Trainee, you will take ownership of expanding our presence across global markets, with a strong focus on travel, including assignments outside Europe. You will operate with a high degree of independence while working alongside our senior team. This means, managing the full business development cycle: identifying opportunities, engaging with international partners, and driving deals from initial contact to implementation. You will join a fast-growing team within an upscaling company, where initiative and ownership are key.

Key Responsibilities
- Translate market insights and customer feedback into actionable business opportunities, contributing to product–market alignment and growth strategy.
- Drive international business development
- Identifying, engaging, and converting high-potential opportunities across global markets, including frequent travel outside Europe.
- Manage the full commercial cycle
- From first contact to contract execution, coordinating with internal teams to ensure seamless implementation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business development, marketing, product, and operations to align initiatives and accelerate global expansion.
- Deliver clear, structured presentations and proposals, effectively communicating value and ROI.
- Track and manage pipeline performance using CRM tools, ensuring data accuracy and informed decision-making.

- Completed university degree (WO) in business, life sciences, or a related field
- Up to 1 year of experience in business development, sales, or a strategic commercial role (internships or relevant projects included) or other role related to commercial development in the life sciences.
- Strong analytical and communication skills; able to engage confidently with international partners and internal stakeholders
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch or another major language is a plus
- Comfortable working independently, taking initiative, and managing responsibilities from start to finish
- Motivated to learn global business development through hands-on experience and close collaboration with senior team members
- Willing to travel internationally, including destinations outside Europe
- Based within commuting distance of The Hague
Preferred Qualifications
- Affinity with the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or MedTech sectors
- Experience with sales enablement or automation tools such as Outreach, Salesforce, SalesLoft, or ZoomInfo
- Familiarity with regulated or compliance-heavy sales environments
- Understanding of pipeline metrics, conversion rates, and forecasting in complex sales funnels
